That is probably a wise decision anyway. You have a very good reputation and I have seen how that *clears throat* forum has ruined the reputation of many by just having their name associated with it. It is a playground over there for clicks and children with no supervision.
It is obvious by the success of www.occultcorpus.com that you have the intelligence, respect, knowledge, wisdom, care and passion to make an occult related forum a success. Your time and devotion to OC has been greatly appreciated and well received. It will be a great loss to "the other place" that you have stepped down, but I can bet you have won the respect of many for not becoming a player in the childish games that continue to drown those forums. I know after all of these years you have devoted to that place, it must feel like a form of loss to leave it at this time. It is sad they choose to lose what few good people they have left, just so they can continue drama and bend rules for those they choose, while allowing the place to turn into a circus....and a joke to the occult community.
It was not the drama that really caused me to leave, and there was more then one reason.
The first and main reason, I've simply not been active and will likely be even less active once I loose net access. The second reason is the favoritism and drama... The 3rd reason, which should very likely be first is that if someone can hire a member to cast spells against a 3rd member, then the first person should be held accountable. As they are not, it says one of two things... 1) Magick is real, and the administration does not care about the threats/harrassment rule (which has ALWAYS been a one time == ban offense) 2) Magick is not real, and the whole site is a farse.
Well don't plan on them admitting a mistake...LOL....they are above that.
It is not a public site anymore, it is a private site and if you are not a part of the IN crowd....you have no say. It is a site in which a lot of people who have no jobs and no control in their life can vicariously live out a fake meaningful role of authority by thinking that control of a random internet forum makes them more important in their otherwise miserable life. Nuff said.... Back to real life now! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
