Remember back in October when I got money from helping my Mother move, and some cash for my birthday. I was planning on building a fort. Well, I have it partially standing up now!
Not the greatest, and FAR from complete... but it certainly is useable at the moment. It still needs the second floor, flooring attached, as well as some extra walls for the court yard part... but the main four corners are up, and the flooring is resting on it.
Things left to complete.
* The main roofing
* Cut and attach flooring
* Court Yard walls
* Supports
* Railings for second floor
I'm also thinking that I may increase the size of the second floor, which will increase the main floor housing part of it as well. The second floor is currently only 4ft by 4ft...and as I have a workable 4x8 sheet of sturdy plywood, I think I may do that... however that may mean I'll need to re-work some of the outter (courtyard) floor plans... but it should work. However, I'll run out of cornering 4x4s so may need to resort to using some of the antenna pieces I have (which are a bit more unsightly, but still safe enough.
Once I get all of that done, I'll be saving up some more cash to get some green outdoor carpeting to floor the second story, and maybe some paint... |
