They suck yes, but they are also very much needed in any community. Without them the things degrade into their natural state of Chaos, and while I enjoy a fair amount of anarchy the lack of cohesion that is to be found in a place without rules just ruins a good clean debate.

That said, the rules discussions of the moderating team at the OF is going along rather nicely by my way of thinking. We are re-wording much of what is there to include many of the unspoken rules. Things like Flooding and Spam are actually being addressed, and a few of the points that were rather unclear or too open to interpretation are being clarified.

Nothing is truly being added to the rules, but the things that have thus far not made it into the official guidelines but have been enforced from day one are finally being given the light they deserve.

A few of the things that are actually in the rules, but are not being enforced are even being removed. Overall we are looking at the addition of a few things which were never allowed and the removal of things which are forbidden, but ok to post any way...

I am happy thus far - though I can see a few hard asses getting pissy that there will soon be 18 rules rather then 16 *shrug* even if nothing but wording has been changed *sigh*

Another Monday, and another skunk update for your reading pleasure. ;)

Last night I went out to give the cats a little bit to eat and when I came around the lean-to board covering their food from the elements I saw WHITE hair & did a hop skip & a jump away from there...my sudden movement made the skunk run. He high tailed it into the cat house so I covered all the exits. He had to of stayed half the night *snicker* but sadly he did get out. I look forward to him doing it again because NEXT time I'll be bolting the exits shut and then I'll be putting some tasty Decon in there for him to munch on.

On an even happier note, the OF is back up *dances* and is awaiting not only a restore but several upgrades (and a better home).

I'm ecstatic over RULE #15...the MASS deletion of posts on the forums just pisses me off to NO end. I will now watch the WHO's ONLINE list with one finger poised over the PIE BUTTON!

In other news I'm feeling GREAT today...which is a decent change over the last two days of complete exhaustion...Maybe I'll actually get something done today ;) but that's rather unlikely. Then again, I've already hung out a load of clothes to dry and re-filled the birdbath...so maybe there is hope *smirk*

I think I'll at least get another sheet of Qlovers prepped so Cyndi can maybe sell them to raise money so our beautiful granddaughter can be the homecoming queen by raising more money then the other little girls (which, by my way of thinking is no way to judge). If you'd like one email me and we can work out a payment arrangement ;)

In other news I recently got two new pairs of cargo pants that look good on me and are VERY comfy. I also got a strange reddish shirt that Cyndi picked out. It's nice, but unlike anything I've worn before. I have two other pairs of pants that need to be returned though...all in all most of my entire wardrobe has been swapped out so I can have enough shorts in the summer and to facilitate my fat ass. *sigh* I need to exercise or get on a diet. I don't mind being this size...it's the shape that's getting to me ;)

Well, that's it I think...maybe I'll get a poem or three up later but I can't see much happening in the way of needing to be said.

I went to the latest SE meet up for the OF and got the chance to meet a fellow mod (Doh) and a fellow member (Dragon of Light) It was an over all GREAT day. A lot of talking (most of it not involving Occult Forums) a lot of laughs and some GREAT fool (ala a local pub).

If there is another one I suggest that more people show up. There is little risk...unless of course you are going as a 15 year old girl as your profile suggest (you sick-o 40 year old man) *smirk*
